However, if anyone would rely solely on Professor Trelawney’s predictions, they would have fully convinced themselves into believing that Harry is about to die. He has transformed into a black shaggy dog to keep an eye out for Harry. One learns later in the book that the “Grim” is in fact, Sirius Black. ![]() This foreshadowing affects him to the extent that he mistakes even the simplest of things such as a cat for a Grim, a death omen. ![]() Harry too, seeing the Grim and other death omens right from the start of the book, starts believing this as true. Right from his first Divination class to the time he takes his final exams, the “Seer” in her can’t help but foreshadow Harry’s apparent death. Throughout the book, Professor Trelawney makes harrowing predictions surrounding Harry’s death. ![]() It Teaches you to Believe in Concrete Truth rather than Blind Faith ![]()
